Our group's primary responsibilities include expression of recombinant proteins in mammalian cells, generation of engineered cell lines for target validation and assay development. The successful candidate will have diverse skills ranging from generation of recombinant protein expression vectors, cell line generation using viral expression vectors, and genome editing of cell lines using, for example, CRISPR/Cas9 technologies, and expression of recombinant proteins in CHO and HEK 293 platforms. We work collaboratively with a wide range of research teams. There will be multiple, concurrent projects so the ability to multi-task efficiently is essential. Knowledge of Gibson/Seamless cloning is a plus. Familiarity with cell based assays, lenti/retroviral transduction, or use of CRISPR/Cas9 in genome engineering is preferred. Experience with automation is desirable. Strong creativity and problem-solving skills are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication, documentation and record-keeping skills, demonstrated experience working in a collaborative environment with defined project teams is essential.
