40s vintage Altec Lansing 803 A Speakers woofers pair from 800 system pre A7 in Boston, Massachusetts For Sale

Pair of early Altec 803 woofers from xxxxs. Just removed today from original cabinets for first time since installed new.

One speaker has a stamped steel cover over the back of the speaker to cover the magnet. The other speaker (the earlier one) does not have this cover. Aside from the back cover, the speakers are identical. They are the same magnet, same frame, same cone assembly, same spider etc. It is only a difference of appearance. Sound is the same.
The speakers are working well with no rubbing. One cone has two very tiny holes at the edge Otherwise no other problems. No tears or cracks. One speaker has some movie screen paint on the front of the cone. Both cones are dusty, I have not cleaned them
Original paint is near mint on both speakers. One speaker still has the original paper inspection tag. This is a nice pair!
