An offering for a very rare piece of Cello history indeed. Very rarely do a pair of Serafins come up for sale, especially in this impeccable condition!

The Serafin concept was Mark Levinson's quest to produce a full-range, active loudspeaker system that could be used as the main speakers in a 2-channel Cello Music System or as rear channels in a Cello Music & Film System.
Each Serafin actually contains 2 inboard Cello amplifiers. The 60 watt amp powers the tweeter and the 90 watt amp powers the woofer. Both drivers are Dynaudio with the tweeter being the fabled Dynaudio Esotar. The input connection is via 3-pin Cello Fischer connector only (Cello Fischer connectors and Cello Strings included in this sale).
These speakers have recently undergone a complete cosmetic restoration.The amplifiers, drivers, foam surrounds, and crossovers are in excellent cosmetic and operational condition. The sound these speakers produce, especially when driven by the Cello Audio Palette, is truly breathtaking.
The original boxes (which were crude in nature anyway) are long gone. These will be lovingly and expertly boxed for safe transit. A copy of the owner's manual will be included with the sale. The original grills are included.
