The reliable team player we select will process biweekly payroll information for salaried and hourly employees within a designated business unit. The professional we select will process all payroll-related changes to the employee-information section of the payroll system, and ensure that tax information is accurate for each biweekly payroll cycle. This individual will respond to questions about paychecks, perform daily review and audit accuracy of Kronos timecards, review and follow up on Pay Edit errors, and enter Kronos information in PeopleSoft. PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Supports FMCNA's mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy. Adheres to FMCNA Compliance Program, including following all regulatory FMCNA policy requirements. Process payroll information for hourly salaried employees in the FMCNA designated business operation. Primary responsibility is to process all payroll related changes for employees in accordance with FMCNA company policy, and State/ Federal wage and hourly regulations, including the Fair Labor Standards Act. While most tasks are of a routine nature, this position does require independent thinking for analysis of paycheck issues and recommendations on how to best resolve them through the normal payroll process. DUTIES / ACTIVITIES: CUSTOMER SERVICE: Responsible for driving the FMCNA culture through values and customer service standards. Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers. Develops and maintains relationships through effective and timely communication. This position will provide primary payroll services and first level response to employees and internal/ external business partners. Issues that cannot be resolved using the standard FMCNA policies will be escalated to the Payroll Supervisor for further analysis and review. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Daily review and audit of KRONOS timecards for accuracy. Review Pay Edit errors and follow-up with managers on transactions that appear on the error list. Notify appropriate management of employees with time transactions that have not been returned from Leave of Absence. Audit and maintain employee Payrule information in PeopleSoft to ensure proper calculation of hours in KRONOS. Review KRONOS to make sure that all transactions have proper manager approvals. Follow up with managers if approval is required. Process all payroll adjustments submitted for hours and earnings that could not be processed through KRONOS. Review adjustments to ensure compliance with payroll policies and SOX controls. Provide first level KRONOS support to the field. Calculate retroactive pay increases for employees that are not properly calculated through the retro pay process. Update employee changes to taxes (federal, state, or local), direct deposit, employee check delivery options and other PeopleSoft panels maintained by the Payroll department. Calculate, prepare and enter off-cycle check information for payments that must be issued prior to the next scheduled payroll. Prepare and submit Stop Payment and Direct Deposit Reversal request to Payroll Supervisor for processing. Research and resolve Automated Clearing House (direct deposit) returns generated through the ADP full service direct deposit process. Review garnishments that will be loaded to the payroll system during the current pay cycle to ensure that all the necessary information has been sent to successfully process the garnishment from our third-party garnishment administrator. Notify appropriate parties of changes to clinic address or contact data for the ADP check/advice print distribution. Complete third party payroll wage requests such as workers compensation, employee verifications, state disability, etc. Process PTO payouts and PTO/ESL balance adjustments in accordance with FMCNA policy as well as State regulations. Assist with and/or run payroll reports as needed. OTHER: Act as backup to other Payroll Coordinators. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: Minimum of two years experience in payroll or accounting is required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word. Previous experience with PeopleSoft Payroll System and KRONOS is preferred. Basic knowledge of Wage and Hour Laws is desired.
