The Program Officer will be a part of company s overall efforts to invest in strengthening lowincomecommunities and work closely with the Boston team on implementing company sBuilding Sustainable Communities.Specific Duties include: Coordinate and oversee performance of the Financial Opportunity Centers (FOC)network, including developing and maintaining detailed knowledge of the variousorganizations and stakeholders involved in the FOC network, providing programmaticdesign and management of build-out programs that include an Occupational SkillsInitiatives and Financial Products Program, technical assistance related to the utilizationof program tracking software (Efforts to Outcome), and the identification of bestpractices related to FOCs. Manage the Entrepreneurship training and pitch contest, including recruitment,partnership with training provider, and deepened coordination of follow up supportservices to graduates. Connect alumni to financing options that meet their needs. Leaddata collection for the entrepreneurship program. Use data to drive programdevelopment. Create and disseminate monthly reports on impacts of Boston s Economic Opportunityprograms, including reporting on progress of alumni from the entrepreneurship programand the FOCs clients (de-identified data is available through national database to supportprogress tracking of FOC clients). Complete all funder data tracking and reporting intimely manner. Identify barriers to financial and small business success in the RC RF geography, anddevelop partnerships to systemically remove barriers and accelerate income and wealthgains. Duties may include, but are not limited to, convening partners in theentrepreneurial eco-system, proposing policy and program solutions, and partnering withthe private sector. As part of a team responsible for Boston LISC s grant-making, disburse and manageinvestment of grants for the selected FOC sites and small business pitch contest winners.Develop contracts. Manage reporting and grant oversight. Coordinate and oversee consultants and other providers contracted to give services tothe programs and the participants. Develop collaborative funding arrangements with other financial and philanthropicinstitutions to support the Economic Opportunities initiatives. Coordinate with LISC s national office, including the Director of Family Income andWealth Building and the lending and Equity staff, on the development and oversight ofthe programs. Assume responsibility for special projects, as assigned, such as assisting ResilientCommunities, Resilient Families sites in the implementation of their community contracts.Qualifications Highly motivated individual with a demonstrable commitment to the field of communitydevelopment, economic empowerment, anti-poverty, and/or social justice 4-6 years relevant experience with implementing economic development, financialcoaching, anti-poverty, wealth building, and/or entrepreneurship support programs. 2-3 years demonstrated experience with outcomes based program evaluation, datamanagement and reporting. Experience working with a variety of community, public, and private sector actors todesign and implement programs related to neighborhood revitalization and/or familyeconomic stability. Experience recruiting and managing interns and/or volunteers desirable but not required Flexible, resourceful, creative self-starter able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Excellent speaking, writing and team building skills. Ability to travel frequently within Massachusetts and occasionally outside of MA. Fluency in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole is highly desirableEducation: Bachelor s degree required.
