The Senior Program Manager must be able to work effectively across technicians, business leaders and educational designers. This role will be responsible with managing the evaluation, planning and implementation of mission critical DPG initiatives initiated by the CDO and VP of Program & Portfolio Management Office and ensuring the DPG leaders are meeting projects on budget, on time, on quality, and per agreed commitments.* Manage the evaluation, planning and implementation of mission critical DPG initiatives identified by and at the direction of the Chief Digital Officer (CDO). * Communicate effectively with DPG senior leaders, partner vendors and other key leaders across the MHE enterprise to make sure these initiatives meet the scope, time, quality and cost commitments identified by the CDO. * Provide reporting as required to the CDO and VP, Program & Portfolio Management in order to minimize risk and maximize velocity of in scope projects. * Find creative solutions to technology, product and organizational challenges * Develop and evaluate RFP’s for vendor workRequired Experience* Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or related preferred. * Strong understanding of the EdTech community. * Knowledge of software development * Deep knowledge of Agile project management demonstrated by 4-7 years of as Project Manager, or Program Manager * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. * Experience working with external software vendors, including offshore vendors, and in utilizing both traditional and rapid/lightweight project management * Demonstrated skills in leadership, negotiation, conflict management, communications, organizational and critical thinking * Ability to work with limited oversight. * Ability to work with ambiguous requirements. * Ability to travel (up to 15%) Job LocationBoston, Massachusetts, United StatesPosition TypeFull-Time/Regular
