Job Title: Acquisitions Analyst (Exempt) Functional Area: Acquisitions Department - Boston, MA Report To: Senior VP, Acquisitions – Boston, MA Date: February xxxx Position Summary: The primary role of the Acquisitions Analyst is to prepare financial projections and Placement Committee materials including the coordination of legal due diligence for qualifying Low Income Housing Tax Credit properties under Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code. The qualified candidate must be able to effectively communicate with Developers, third party lenders, counsel, title companies and internal underwriting, construction and asset management personnel. Job responsibilities include: Prepare and analyze financial projections and Placement Committee presentations for LIHTC properties; Review Market Studies, Appraisals, Financial Statements, Tax Credit Applications to assess financial feasibility of proposed transactions; Coordinate internal approvals; Assist the SVP of acquisitions in the identification of new LIHTC opportunities in the Boston Office geographic area; Act as liaison with developers to structure new transactions and prepare Letters of Intent which meet Investor and Placement Committee requirements; For signed transactions, assist with the transition to the closing team including the due diligence items necessary to receive all internal Screening Committee approvals; This position requires a bachelor’s degree, and preferably a Master&#xxxxx;s in Business Administration with an emphasis on finance or real estate finance; applicable real estate experience is preferred. Candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to comfortably interact with senior management internally and a large external client base. Some overtime at certain times of the year is required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with a heavy emphasis on Excel and Word.
