B2B Sales Account Manager in Boston, Massachusetts For Sale

Major Functions Objectives and Roles & Responsibilities:Take personal responsibility for developing a range of premier accounts in order cross-sell a wide product range to exceed pre-set targets. Responsibilities include:· Account planning and named account development in line with growth targets· Working within your account profile to identify new cross-selling opportunities and grow accounts· Project development and management· Domestic sales trip planning within the US· Sales planning, demonstrating a comfortable and natural knowledge of the sales cycle and how to navigate to a successful conclusion· Maintaining accurate plans and projections, spreadsheet analysis· Attending Sales meetings as required· Ensuring timely and accurate forecasts and projects are reportedThe role necessitates travel predominantly throughout the US, but to other countries as required, and also to the UK head office for training and team meetings. This is dependent on company and customer requirementsTechnical Skills in actual situation:· Confidence in your tried and tested sales skills· A proven track record in selling through changing market conditions, and the ability to demonstrate longevity and perseverance within a role· Excellent meeting and presentation preparation skills· The ability to step into a completely new arena and learn a new, highly complex and constantly evolving product line from scratchTeam Skills in Actual Situation:You will have full ownership of your area in this role however support will be available from an Account Executive.· Confident communication style and experienced negotiator· An excellent relationship builder – sales cycles can be 6-18 months· Influential and experienced in sales planning· Ability to work autonomously· Ability to deal with pressure and deadlines· Strong decision-making capabilities· Openness in communication with marketing team and senior team· Accountability for remit· Tenacity – Our products are unique and highly technical, therefore require people who are willing to learn, able to assimilate new information and thrive on pressureBasic Requirements:· Sales experience in technical/manufacturing/science environment or similar· Experience in building long term relationships with clients as length of sales cycle can vary· Comfortable presenting and managing pitches at board level· Experience of identifying/ pitching/ winning tenders would be ideal, as would contract negotiation experience· Experience working with CRM systems· You will be a confident communicator and negotiator· Comfortable with travel periods of sometimes between 7-10 daysThe interpersonal characteristics we look for within our sales team are enthusiasm, drive, and a passion for sales.
