Learn more atwww.genzyme.com. Job Responsibilities/Department Description: Provide field sales support within a designated Clinical Account Executive's territory. Support to include activities focused on orthopedic surgeons, office and hospital/operating room staff. The territory is New England and the Boston area is ideal for someone to reside. Overnight travel is anticipated to be about 2 times per week. Essential Position Responsibilities: Execute territory support plan as developed by the CAE, with approval by the RSD. Provide product and procedural in servicing on the orthopaedic product line to surgeons, their office and hospitals, and rehab providers. Provide reimbursement education and support to offices and hospitals for the orthopaedic product line. Provide O.R. staff support for biopsies and/or implants. Coordinate with CAE and/or Carticel Care Coordinator (CCC) to assist in driving the Carticel pipeline: Work with CAE, CCC and MD to qualify biopsies, support implant authorization process and implant scheduling Maintain positive rapport with customers, to include surgeons, nurses and hospital personnel. As required, participate in trade conventions, sales meetings, symposia and training Responsible for following all company policies and procedures Performs other related duties as assigned by the RSD. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 1 to 3 years of successful B to B, pharmaceutical, or medical device sales experience Ability and willingness to travel overnight as needed Open to eventual relocation for full CAE position Licensed driver Preferred Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated ability to effectively function in a team setting Demonstrated ability to learn, retain, and discuss complex medical concepts Skilled at small group presentations Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail including ability to implement territory work plans.
