The Industry Markets Senior Research Analyst position builds upon JLL's best in class industry and occupier research platform and develops insights that create advantages for our clients. The position will have geographic responsibility for the US with a focus on industries including but not limited to: banking/financial services, energy, data centers, construction and life sciences. The analyst will partner with leaders from Brokerage and Project and Development Services (PDS) teams and deliver research that is aligned with their objectives. To provide clients with research intelligence that drives sales growth while arming clients with market insight. This is an opportunity for someone seeking to develop a knowledge of corporate real estate fundamentals and as a member of commercial real estate industry's leading service platform. OBJECTIVES: Work with the Office Market Research Director to execute a diverse and complex research plan. Collaborate with senior business leadership to develop strategic research. initiatives that enhance JLL's reputation as a leader in occupier and construction trends. Be a visible thought leader, showcasing extensive knowledge of industry and economic trends. Understand how industry and economic factors influence how companies use real estate and the workplace to meet business objectives. Leverage this knowledge to create and contribute to research products and tools. Enhance existing industry research products with a focus on efficiency, technology and impact. Develop best practice standards for the Americas Research team. Work with Office Market Research Director to position research as a business development tool. Work with brokerage, PDS and marketing teams in contributing and enhancing RFPs, presentations and business pitches. RESPONSIBILITIES: Produce industry research reports. Coordinate activities with local office research team. Craft a program to track trends and issues affected by markets, economy and region. Create and maintain a pipeline of actionable research insight for PDS including construction and development costs. Create content that analyzes major occupier trends across industries. Contribute to technology tools that enhance the delivery of research insight. Articulate market trends and insights internally and externally in written reports and presentations. Develop strong relationships with internal and external clients and facilitate the use of research as a differentiator. Partner with marketing colleagues to improve the delivery, distribution and impact of research. Contribute to public relations initiatives to help build recognition for JLL's platform. Use social media as a tool to provide compelling research insight to clients. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in business, economics or related field required. Four or more years in commercial real estate research or similar. Business/Corporate experience is required. Background in construction, data centers, life sciences, energy or financial services. Analytical thinking, problem solving, written and oral communication skills. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Motivated and self-starting with a desire to succeed. Experience with using social media in business. Ability to identify productivity enhancements across projects. Presentation skills and ability to work with internal and external clients at all levels. Ability to meet expectations. Ability to multi-task and manage time and workload. Proactive thinking and ability to lead research initiatives in alignment with business objectives. Advanced command of technology including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
