INSIDE SALES MANAGERJacobs has an immediate opening for an Inside Sales Manager based in our Boston office. This individual will partner with outside sales and operations to develop and advance client relationships prior to specific sales opportunities, when sales opportunities are identified, and during proposal and presentation development, with particular emphasis on infrastructure design, design/build, construction and program management, and other pursuits in Jacobs’ North American Infrastructure New England Region. They will lead the response review process and ensure high-quality deliverables while supervising and mentoring inside sales staff. Responsibilities Responsible for strategic application of our sales process on selective pursuits to win work. Collaborate/partner with Sales and Operations in developing distinctive value propositions which enhance our customers’ competitive position. Leverage global network to identify and put forward Jacobs’ unique capabilities and resources. Organize, direct, and motivate a multidiscipline team to develop strategic sales deliverables.Manage the entire opportunity response process. Ensure that our responses (proposals, presentations, etc.) meet our clients’ requirements, respond to their issues, are easy to evaluate, and clearly articulate our sales strategy and approach.Work with outside sales and operations to develop and validate sales strategies and win plans, and participate in go/no-go decisions. You need to use our sales process and tools and have the discipline to apply them. Identify response resource requirements and develop a realistic approach, schedule, and budget.Initiate and facilitate response reviews and approvals.Qualified candidates will have at least five years of successful sales, marketing, business development, and/or proposal management experience in the A/E/C industry. A BS or BA in engineering, marketing, journalism, architecture, construction, business, or related field is required. The successful candidate will have: The ability to lead, manage, and motivate proposal / bid teams The ability to manage relationships and expectations at all levels in the organization Composure, commitment, and maturity to appropriately respond to the demands of the sales environment Intellectual ability to support strategic thinking/discussions in the development of win plans and value propositions for key clients Sound creative writing, editing, and communication skills Good planning (project management / delivery) and reporting skills Good interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to build relationships across operational and sales teams Sound understanding of the public / private infrastructure sector in which we operate The ability to manage / coordinate text, graphics, and metrics for sales documents such as proposals, qualifications, and presentation material
