Purpose Statement
The prime focus of the Manufacturing Technician is to provide technical support of the validation/qualification activities of the Distribution Center relocation activities through the creation/support of necessary project documentation for equipment release. The Manufacturing Technician will ensure that the engineering activities are completed per defined project schedule. The manufacturing technician will also assist in establishing and coordinating corrective/preventive maintenance activities for Production/Operations equipment within the Quincy site. Manufacturing Technician will interact with team memebers from Production, Operations, Engineering Support, Quality, Facilities, and Safety. Please note: This position is a defined term assignment lasting 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
: Ensure compliance to internal company procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) guidelines.
: Support improvement projects that pertain to product quality and production processes.
: Partners with project team members to create, execute and document activies associated with equipment validation and release.
: Create, implement and maintain equipment release documentation within Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS : Primo).
: Order, install, and qualify new equipment when deemed necessary.
: Assist in the analysis, development and implementation of preventive actions which proactively resolve product, process and systems issues.
: Work with vendors to establish service agreement for maintenance activities.
: Ensure PM/CM activities completed and documented as required and on schedule.
: Drive the troubleshooting and corrective action effort for any process issues in designated area.
: Identify and inform Production Supervisor/Manager of equipment malfunctions or process outputs that do not meet expected outcomes. May perform trouble:shooting of equipment or process problems and recommend solutions.
: Other tasks as directed by the Production Manager or Quincy Site Leadership.
Qualifications
: High School Diploma; Bachelors degree preferred
: Minimum 3:5 year professional and FDA Regulated industries experience; Medical Device experience preferred
: Flexible individual with good written and verbal communication skills
: MS office suite experience
