JOB SUMMARY: The Upromise Online Shopping program offers members a way to get 5% cash back for college from hundreds of different retailers. This program is a primary area of focus within the company and we are looking for a Upromise Marketing Manager identify, implement and optimize contact strategies to improve overall customer experience and loyalty. The Member Marketing Manager is responsible for 2 critical components of Upromise revenue: 1) Develop first-time savers into loyal Upromise Online shoppers. 2) Retaining loyal members. The goal of this role is to identify the strategies and implement the tactics that will retain and grow these revenue-critical members and transform them into Upromise-brand evangelists. Additionally, the manager will also work across the organization to cross-sell other products to the engaged base. SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Identify and implement tactical plans that align with overarching strategy for developing and retaining loyal shoppers. This will be a complex, multi-channel, multi-faceted plan with many moving parts. * Develop solid understanding of loyal members and their behavior. The manager should constantly be testing and learning to add to the understanding of loyal members. * Manage cross functionally across departments to develop plans that meet product and P&L goals. This will include working with creative, technology, external agencies, web strategy, analytics/reporting, retargeting, email, finance, legal, compliance, partner, and product on a regular basis to ensure that campaigns are executed flawlessly and on time. * Prioritize and implement tactics based on projected ROI. The manager needs to monitor results closely and quickly identify winning tactics to continue, losing tactics to stop, and continually maintain a 6-month+ testing plan. * Demonstrate results against aggressive goals. Weekly reporting on campaign performance from initial impression through to funding/backend account performance in aggregate and at specific channel and tactic level. Conduct monthly and quarterly analysis on the status of retention efforts. Present results to senior management regularly. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelors Degree * 5 - 7years of experience in marketing including experience in managing marketing related projects. * Experience with financial product marketing and cross-sell preferred * Experience in website merchandising and optimization * Experience with corporate retail marketing and adverstising PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Online Media and web Optimization * Experience managing a direct to consumer marketing campaign including writing a creative brief, managing vendors, optimizing campaigns and coordinating the development of marketing materials for online tactics. * Demonstrated ability to think creatively in developing cross-sell and large media campaigns. * Analytic ability to optimize and manage core KPIs of campaigns * Experience working across multiple LOBs to balance campaign focus * Optimost * Omniture * Excel Sallie Mae is a federal government contractor.
