Real Estate Company Seeks Operations Manager Overview Genealogical Search Inc. ( genealogicalsearchinc.com ) and Saxon Partners (saxon-partners.com) are seeking an entrepreneurial and motivated candidate to join their expanding real estate joint venture as Operations Manager. The venture is focused on the identification and processing of non-traditional real estate opportunities, initially in Massachusetts but ultimately across multiple states. The Operations Manager will direct a broad range of activities within GSI’s growing portfolio of properties. The position will be based in GSI’s office in Hingham, MA with occasional travel. The ideal candidate has a background in real estate development, engineering or consulting; experience managing teams; and a passion for efficiency. Compensation will depend on experience. Responsibilities The Operations Manager will lead a growing team of real estate professionals in GSI’s unique process of unlocking the value of dormant real estate. That process includes identifying potential opportunities, clearing title issues, coordinating survey/engineering work, analyzing development potential, and coordinating significant legal work. The Operations Manager will: Lead internal team meetings to communicate priorities, set milestones, and track progress. Manage team efforts to ensure operational and financial goals are met. Manage relationships with external contractors (lawyers, surveyors, genealogists, brokers). Implement systems for coordinating data and managing workflows across a dispersed team. Continually assess real estate opportunities for potential value (and anticipated costs) in order to shortlist potential deals and prioritize resources for the deals being processed. Desired Skills and Experience ** Civil Engineering and/or Land Surveying background required ** BS or BA in Engineering, Business or Information Technology Familiarity with land development analysis, design and entitlement process; Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software; familiarity with GIS a plus Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and a passion for constantly improving processes. Experience in an operating role.
