Research Associate IIITracking Codexxxx58-561Job Description The Research Associate will perform a variety of activities related to data management, analysis, and reporting of results for studies at the Department of Population Medicine.** These studies focus on assessing the safety of drugs and vaccines within defined populations.** S/he will primarily work with investigators in the Therapeutics and Infectious Disease (TIDE) group to plan analyses, data management and reporting.** The Research Associate will work under general direction with a high level of independence.** This position requires collaborating independently with investigators and partners from institutions outside of the Department of Population Medicine. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Participate in all aspects of projects: study design, data management, data analysis, data presentation, and reporting. * Work with large claims databases * Prepare summary reports/presentations. * Develop and perform data quality control activities. * Develop scopes of work for programming vendors and developers. * Manage vendor / partner implementation of deliverables. * Train and manage junior staff REQUIREMENTS * Masters Degree in Public Health, Health Services Research, Health Policy, Economics, or similar field preferred. * Relevant coursework and/or experience in conducting epidemiological evaluations. * 10 years of relevant experience in a research environment. * Ability to manage external partners * Intermediate SAS programming skills * Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. * Ability to analyze data and report data findings. * Strong written and oral communication skills. * Ability to act independently and with good judgment. **Job LocationBoston, MA USPosition TypeFull-Time/Regular CORI No Apply Share Return To Job Listings
