Real Estate Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities: Review third-party property management reports for compliance with GAAP and corporate policy Analyze and explain budget variances Verify proper accrual accounting for expenses; Reconcile accounts Research and analyze escalations Prepare reports for management team and extensive interaction with asset management team, finance executives including controller Provide financial statements for investors and lenders Provide guidance to accounting team on various accounting transactional issues and policy and procedure explanation Active involvement in acquisition accounting and reconciliations Assist in annual budgeting ,and quarterly forecasts for portfolio; assist with tax preparation Additional projects or ad hoc reporting as needed Requirements: Bachelor's degree required. Finance or accounting preferred. Must have 5+ years of corporate real estate accounting experience and/or public accounting experience with real estate clients and/or REIT accounting experience.
