Completes detailed annual financial reviews of more complex and critical Commercial Real Estate credits nationwide to ensure their high quality, considering cash flows and other trends. Contacts clients directly when additional information is needed to evaluate physical and financial condition of portfolio loans. Customers / Stakeholders Coordinate the process of providing required financial analyses to third party agencies such as Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, for which the Department provides loan servicing Leadership & Teamwork Complete timely, accurate and in-depth annual reviews to ensure assigned Commercial Real Estate credits of a more complex and critical nature, maintain their high quality, considering cash flow and other trends. Identify existing or potential impairments to new operating income of portfolio properties; determine their potential impacts and inform senior management of significant negative findings Coordinate collection of financial statements and pertinent data on properties in the national Commercial Real Estate portfolio. Review status of statements received from borrowers and track completed annual reviews; identify significant missing and late information and escalate efforts to obtain as appropriate Assign credit grades annually to loans reviewed using credit scoring system. Maintain and update credit approval system documentation for assigned loan portfolio Management of Risk Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues Observation of Internal Controls Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators Qualifications Minimum of seven years proven and progressive commercial real estate credit analysis and related experience on a wide variety of property types or equivalent Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business, related field or equivalent experience Strong communications, analytical, planning, organizational, financial, credit analysis and decision-making skills Current knowledge of the real estate industry
