Axon Communications, Inc. is a creative marketing agency located just south of Greater Boston in Braintree, MA. We specialize in the development of unique promotional programs for our healthcare Clients (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device). We hire creative and talented individuals who have an entrepreneurial spirit and a do whatever it takes attitude.
Axon is recruiting for a full:time, entry level/junior software engineer to work on customizing and extending our existing products. The position will provide the opportunity to work on both the client (HTML, iOS, Android) and server (PHP,MySQL) sides of our products as part of a small team. This position will interact with internal departments such as design and client services to gather information and resources required to complete work. This is a great opportunity to get experience with a broad range of platforms and technologies with the ability to grow into more responsibility over time based on performance.
Position Requirements
* Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering or software engineering
* Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, problem:solving and analytical skills
* Experience with a compiled language such as Java, C++ or C
* Exposure to Object Oriented concepts
* A desire and ability to learn new technologies and platforms
* Knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages or technologies is desired: Objective:C, Java, PHP, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, HTTP, SQL.
* Experience developing applications for iOS, Android or modern browsers is desired
* Part time or internship experience in an applicable industry is a plus
* Must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
